Nurturing Quality Culture, SPM ITB Organizes AUN-QA Tier 1 Training for ITB Lecturers

A total of 29 Lecturers from the Bandung Institute of Technology were present in Yogyakarta on 22-25 July 2024 to participate in activities organized by the ITB Quality Assurance Unit together with the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), namely AUN-QA Training For Accomplishing Program Assessment (Tier 1, v. 4. 0).
AUN-QA Tier-1 Training is a training activity aimed at improving the quality and accreditation of academic programs in higher education environments in ASEAN. AUN-QA is a regional initiative that aims to improve higher education standards in ASEAN through a rigorous quality assurance process, and ITB is a member of AUN-QA.
The meeting was opened by the Secretary of the ITB Program Quality Assurance Division Winny Wulandari, Ph.D and presented speakers from the AUN-QA, namely Prof. Dr. Arnel Onesimo O. Uy from de La Salle University and Prof. Dr. Satria Bijaksana from ITB. The training participants were representatives of lecturers from …. Faculties/Schools at ITB. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the training.
In this training, participants received intensive training on the latest methods and standards in assessing academic programs according to the latest version of AUN-Q version 4.0. The combination of material presentation, group discussions in completing exercises and cases, and group presentations made this training interesting.
The training participants consisting of lecturers were given training materials by experienced facilitators from AUN-QA, which included Expected Learning Outcomes, Program Structure and Content, Teaching and Learning Approach, Student Assessment, Academic Staff, Student Support Services, Facilities and Infrastructure, Output and Outcomes, and Quality Assessment.
Participants appreciated the holding of this training to improve good – better – best capabilities. The training was also particularly important and opened many new understandings about Quality Assurance. It is hoped that in the future there will be more fellow lecturers who will also participate in the training.
